Logistics sustainability, our commitment

Being sustainable for BERGÉ means adopting practices and strategies that guarantee the long-term viability of our businesses, ensuring a positive impact on society and promoting the development of our communities, focusing on those stakeholders (employees, partners/shareholders, customers, suppliers, administrations, financial institutions) with whom we interact, and ensuring that all our activities are carried out responsibly and taking into account the balance between economic, social and environmental factors. Innovation in logistics sustainability is therefore one of our premises to ensure a responsible future.
The main lines of action in logistics sustainability focus on:
L
Initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint* and emissions by gradually replacing our fuels with more sustainable and renewable fuel sources
L
Initiatives to improve efficiency in the use of resources associated with our activity, optimising our consumption and the management of waste generated.
L
Initiatives to strengthen our commitment to society, working especially on the development of professionals and people linked to the sector, working conditions, diversity, equality and work-life balance.

Environment

BERGÉ, in accordance with its Environmental Policy, undertakes to make efforts to optimise resources, manage and reduce waste and minimise the impact of its activities, in line with “Agenda 2030”, by using the technical tools available in the company.

Sustainability
BERGÉ is registered in the Carbon Footprint Register of the Ministry for Ecological Transition, which certifies our “Calculation Level” in the CO2 stamp, for the mitigation of climate change. This voluntary register records the efforts of Spanish companies, administrations and other organisations in calculating, reducing and offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions generated by their activities. With the “CALCULO” (carbon calculation) stamp, at BERGÉ we demonstrate our commitment to reducing emissions by committing to a low-carbon economy as part of the fight against climate change.
