The 6th edition of BERGÉ’s Master’s Degree programme will train the next generation of maritime business and associated logistics professionals

The logistics sector has decided to act to train the next generation of professionals in the sector and guarantee its future with highly qualified workers. With this in mind, BERGÉ and the universities of Cantabria, the Basque Country (UPV) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya have developed the Master’s Degree in Maritime Business and Associated Logistics, the sixth edition of which starts on 6 October.

This Master’s Degree is designed to train the professionals of today and tomorrow, focusing on specialisation and knowledge of the latest innovations (logistics 4.0) and technical solutions. In short, to create profiles aligned with companies’ needs. This guarantees maximum employability and, at the same time, that companies can increase talent with specialised people, who are in high demand and more difficult to find.

Registration for this edition of the Master’s Degree closes on 14 September. It is taught in a virtual classroom and consists of 1,500 hours – 60 credits – divided between lessons, practical work and the presentation of a final master’s thesis. The classes will be taught by professionals in the sector with the support of the collaborating universities’ teaching staff.

Aimed at both young and experienced professionals

The Master’s Degree is aimed at both recent graduates and experienced workers who need to broaden their competences and skills. They will be able to develop the skills acquired and gain work experience with paid internships in companies in the sector.

BERGÉ has been offering training programmes in conjunction with the University of Cantabria for over ten years. During this time, more than 250 students have studied with BERGÉ at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Náutica [Higher Technical Nautical College] in Santander, linked to the University.

The Master’s Degree is part of BERGÉ’s commitment to society, in this case by training new professionals, with a view to making the logistics sector stronger and more competitive and, in turn, transferring this contribution to Spanish industry as a whole.
