*Course content. The main aim of the International Logistics Conference is to examine the present and future of the sector, acting as a platform of dialogue and thought about the practices, processes and problems that are transforming its current “modus operandi” and also the challenges, trends and dynamics of change that are being called upon to shape its future. Ultimately, it aims to explore the evolution and challenges in the sector, especially in the field of transport, and provide perspectives and experiences that help participants to better understand the rapidly changing context, uncertainty and growing competitiveness that it faces today.

  • The design and approach of the second edition of the Conference has a similar approach to the first: to bring together top national and international experts to analyse, reflect upon, compare points of view and debate, in open dialogue with the audience, five topics in the form of a round table discussion.
  • The first round table will touch upon one of the multiple facets of the wave of technological innovation that is transforming the sector: the effects of digitalisation on logistics processes, where the experiences and initiatives being carried out by leading companies operating in global markets will be presented.
  • The second round table will focus on the trends in automotive logistics by comparing the viewpoints of different players in this field.
  • Work in the world of logistics is changing in such a way that renewed strategies are required not only to attract but also to train and professionalise talent. This will be the theme of the third round table of the Conference.
  • The following will focus on railways, a mode of transport that has been in search of a new paradigm for some time now. Nowadays, practices, technologies and classical organisational modes go hand in hand with both innovations aimed at improving and revitalising the existing model and also initiatives and projects that aim to implement radical changes, and even become an alternative.
  • The current circumstances of maritime cargo transport logistics, both regarding deep sea or traffic along transcontinental lines, with the expansion of the Panama canal as a driving force for new changes, and also short sea or short distance maritime traffic, will be the main theme of the last round table.
  • In addition, a talk will be given on military logistics, an inspiring area of operation with interesting praxis in the field of business.
  • The Conference is aimed at directors and executives of companies and organisations in the logistics sector, and professionals who carry out their activity in the field of cargo transport, whether with a technical, business, innovation or management role.

It will also be of interest to those who wish to start work in this sector; university students who wish to train and specialise in this field; entrepreneurs and start-ups driving forward new business ideas, services and technologies focusing on management and physical distribution of goods; staff in universities and research centres who carry out R&D&I initiatives in this field; technical experts in the public administrations with responsibilities in the logistics industry.
