• Enrolment open until 17 September where students can find out the latest innovations and best technical solutions
  • Run by BERGÉ in partnership with the University of Cantabria, University of the Basque Country and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya [Polytechnic University of Catalonia] through a virtual classroom.

In addition to being an essential activity during the pandemic, the logistics sector has become a driver of economic recovery. That is why it is important to train the next generation of professionals in the sector, focusing on specialisation and knowledge of the latest innovations (logistics 4.0) and technical solutions. It is in this context that the 5th edition of the Master’s Degree in the Management of Maritime Business and Associated Logistics will take place, run by BERGÉ and the University of Cantabria, University of the Basque Country (UPV) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya [Polytechnic University of Catalonia].

A new edition whose enrolment period ends on 17 September, with a view to starting classes in the virtual classroom on 7 October. This is an example of how the business and academic worlds can collaborate in order to develop the professional profiles that companies need the most and to create jobs for highly-qualified workers.

This Master’s degree is not only aimed at recent graduates but also at professionals who already have experience but need to broaden their skills and competencies. Both will be able to develop the skills acquired and gain work experience with paid internships in companies in the sector.

This will be after the 1,500 credit hours -60 credits in total- covering the entire curriculum, including the presentation of a Master’s dissertation. The classes will be taught by professionals in the sector with the support of the collaborating universities’ teaching staff.

BERGÉ has been offering training programmes in conjunction with the University of Cantabria for over ten years. During this time, around 300 students have studied with BERGÉ at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Náutica [Higher Nautical College] in Santander, linked to the University.

The Master’s Degree is linked to the commitment made by BERGÉ to society, especially through training new professionals, with a view to making the logistics sector stronger, more competitive and with more talent. It thus passes on the knowledge gained from its more than 150 years’ history and the extensive experience of its professionals in the entire logistics chain, from port operations to today’s e-commerce and the so-called last mile.
