  • The logistics operator manages more than 34,000 customs cases each year

BERGÉ, a leading logistics operator, has reinforced its services and solutions for clients at all stages of the customs procedure, offering everything from representation to AEO consultancy as well as training and advice. All this has been carried out with the aim of more effectively meeting its clients’ needs. By doing so, it makes customs management a key link in a single value chain in logistics processes.

This portfolio not only offers customs representation within the European Union for all kinds of transport (maritime, land and air), but also includes training in customs management and AEO consultancy (Authorised Economic Operator), paying special attention to matters regarding import and export and using its own program tailored to the client in order to obtain and continue meeting the requirements for AEO authorisation.

This boost in customs business is part of the BERGÉ Management System, ensuring standards of quality, environmental care, and health and safety at work, with a comprehensive monitoring of the KPIs to guarantee the best possible service.

BERGÉ has 150 years’ experience as a customs representative and its Customs department has been an Authorised Economic Operator for the past 8 years, having renewed its AEOF authorisation in 2018.

The company manages more than 34,000 cases per year in every customs office in Spain and is one of few customs representatives that offer a customs and AEO consultancy service, sharing its extensive experience and close working relationship with the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT).

Moreover, reinforcing customs management has put BERGÉ in the position to be able to contribute to digitising customs services. All this, in the context of developing an intelligent port or Smart Port, something which BERGÉ is involved in through the KeyPort and Estiba + 2022 projects.
