BERGÉ, as leading logistics operator in the agricultural produce sector, will play an active role in the third edition of the traditional Agrifood International Congress held in the Port of Tarragona on 5 and 6 May. The aim of this congress is to encourage networking among the most prominent agents in this industry by exchanging information and expertise regarding the technical issues which affect the agrifood field. To achieve this, the event has organised sessions to address matters such as port and logistics solutions for these types of products, the production of animal feed and meat, or the current market situation of these raw materials and the impact geopolitics and the economy is having on them.
Within this sector, BERGÉ has vast experience and a strong presence in 26 ports in Spain and Bayonne (France). The company also handles more than 3 million tons of agro-alimentary produce every year within its more than 500,000 m² of covered warehouses, holding food safety certifications GMP+, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 which guarantee control during port handling (loading and unloading of vessels), storage and transport, both on land and sea, of these types of goods.
At this event, BERGÉ will have a virtual stand offering attendees the chance to learn more about all the bulk agro-alimentary services the company provides while also giving the opportunity to request meetings to answer any questions or comment on logistics challenges.
