The event, which will take place on 24th and 25th January in Madrid, will bring together the cement industry and transport operators

BERGÉ is once again showing its commitment to the cement sector by participating in the next edition of Intercem Shipping Forum, which will take place on 24th and 25th January in Madrid, bringing together the cement industry and transport operators and returning to an on-site event after the online edition in 2021.

Madrid will therefore serve as a stage to glimpse the recovery of cement consumption, which, prior to the release of December’s data, had grown by more than 10% up to November, according to the cement manufacturers’ association.

Intercem has already taken place ten times in Europe and Spain will have hosted three of them. First, in Barcelona in 2013, followed by Malaga in 2020 and now Madrid, which is where most of the large operators in the cement and transport sector are located, including BERGÉ itself, a leading logistics operator working in 26 ports.

Each year, BERGÉ moves 5 million tonnes of industrial cargo and provides one million square metres of storage space. The company directly offers its services in all stages of the supply chain (managing charters, freight, port services, customs, quality control, loading and unloading of vessels, transport and storage) and provides solutions from the place of origin to the final destination.
