- The service has been designed to cover the ro-ro and project cargo needs to the Gulf of Mexico, the east coast of the USA, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and the Far East
BERGÉ has been chosen as an agent for the new Grimaldi regular lines service from the Port of Vigo, which it is set to begin operating from its Termicar terminal.
This monthly ro-ro and project cargo service will connect Vigo to the Gulf of Mexico and the east coast of the USA. In addition, towards the east, via the Port of Gioia Tauro in Italy, the service will join the Spanish port with the Mediterranean, the Middle East and the Far East. These new lines complement the weekly service already in operation from the Port of Bilbao, and will provide both ports with links to all of these destinations.
BERGÉ handles an average of 650 port calls a year and, as well as representing different shipowners commercially, it offers agency services to specialised vessels, container vessels, vehicle transport vessels, ro-ro, isotanks, conventional cargo services and cruises.
It does all of this with perfect knowledge of the markets, a vast commercial network and a proven capacity to connect with any destination. It also boasts a workforce with the experience necessary to adapt the service to the particular needs of the client.
BERGÉ has an extensive presence in Spain, operating at 27 ports (including Bayonne in France), and now also in Mexico and Colombia, fruit of its continued international expansion. Among other services, the company handles more than 30 million tonnes of goods each year and is the leading consignment company with almost 10,000 ships per year.
