SCI OFFERS NEW PORT OF CALL IN BARCELONA

Barcelona, May 2017.- On 26 May, the state-run Indian shipping company SCI, The Shipping Corp. Of India (www.shipindia.com), represented by Agencia Marítima Condeminas offers a new port of call at the port of Barcelona and continues in this way with its import and export service with Spain. The company will continue with the service, connecting Barcelona to the ports of Colombo, Nhava Sheva and Mundra. This service, which will be weekly, will offer the best transit time for imports from the Indian subcontinent, connecting Nhava Sheva and the Spanish port in only 14 days.

SCI, created in 1961, is the largest Indian shipping company with its own fleet of 69 vessels including bulk carriers, oil tankers, tanker vessels, container ships, passenger ships and cargo ships, as well as others for transporting chemical products, LPG/LNG and offshore supply. The demand for and growth in trade with India has positioned SCI as a leading international maritime transport company, managing one third of all tonnage in the country. SCI has been offering different services between Spain and India for over 30 years with slight variations in ports and rotations.
