  • It has boosted its capacity with an additional 5,000 m2 in Barcelona for the storage, loading and distribution of goods to be shipped from mainland Spain

BERGÉ strengthens Barcelona’s connection with the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla for the supply of goods and merchandise, including both full container shipments and groupage shipments, covering document collection and management, transport (air, sea and land), storage and customs management.

This service, which was launched in 2023 in various locations across the peninsula, will be especially boosted in Barcelona, making use of BERGÉ’s entire warehouse infrastructure at both the port of origin and destination.

In effect, 5,000 m2 of additional space will be added to the company’s existing 7,000 m2 used solely for the storage, loading and distribution of merchandise for shipping between the peninsula and the islands. This additional space in Barcelona seeks to improve this service and provide greater flexibility in terms of managing the shipping demands of these destinations.

While aimed at all kinds of activity, it is particularly ideal for retail, hotels and catering businesses, as well as the supply of frozen goods, food, mass consumption products, medicines and textiles.

As such, consumers are guaranteed to always have sufficient stock of goods coming from the peninsula. This includes 28 million international tourists that travel to the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands every year, not to mention national visitors who amount to more than 5 million.
