  • A strategic investment that reinforces efficiency and sustainability in the operations at the Port of Sagunto.

BERGÉ has acquired a new Mantsinen 300 crane for the Port of Sagunto, a strategic investment linked to the contract recently awarded by Arcelor. This acquisition aligns with the company’s commitment to providing more efficient, safer and more sustainable operations across its terminals.

The Mantsinen 300 crane is designed to maximise productivity and speed in port operations. Designed for handling coils, it is versatile enough to handle fully loaded containers at distances of over 20 metres, and features innovative Dualpower technology, which combines the benefits of an electric machine—in terms of energy costs and maintenance—with the versatility of a diesel machine.

This comes in addition to the cranes acquired from Liebherr between 2023 and the beginning of 2024, which enabled the renewal of assets in strategic ports such as Bilbao. Moreover, Sobrinos de Manuel Cámara, BERGÉ’s operating company in Pasaia, recently received two cranes that have increased its operating capacity by 46%. All this is part of an ambitious investment programme that also includes terminals and infrastructures, thus consolidating BERGÉ’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Present in 27 ports in Spain (including Bayonne in France) and with operations in Mexico and Colombia as part of its internationalisation process, BERGÉ handles more than 30 million tonnes of goods per year and is the leading ship agency, with almost 10,000 vessels handled annually.
