BERGÉ has appointed María José Gámez as the new Chief Business Officer, reporting directly to the CEO, Juan Aguirre. Until now, Gámez was the company’s Customer Relations Officer.
Among her objectives, María José Gámez will help drive the company’s current business plan, focused on long-term growth and positioning itself as a leading port and logistics infrastructure company in Spain and Latin America.
With this appointment, Gámez will now be responsible not only for Customers, but also for Purchasing and Operations. Her 17 years of experience within BERGÉ, with different leadership responsibilities linked to customers and purchasing, will help her to have a clear, holistic vision of the entire organisation, as well as a high standard of communication with customers.
María José Gámez has a degree in industrial engineering from the Alfonso X el Sabio University and an MBA from the IESE Business School. Prior to joining BERGÉ, she was head of accounts at the engineering company Intecsa Industrial.
