- The programme marks a decade of training specialised professionals to address the challenges of transformation and competitiveness in logistics.
BERGÉ and the University of Cantabria have launched the tenth edition of the Master’s in Maritime Business Management and Associated Logistics, which has now established itself as one of the leading specialist training programmes for the maritime and logistics sector in Spain.
Now in its tenth year, the Master’s programme – which closes enrolment on 16 September and begins in October – reaffirms its commitment to bridging the gap between education and business, helping to bring qualified professionals into a sector that is key to the competitiveness of the economy and international trade.
The tenth edition of this programme comes at a time when the logistics and maritime sector are facing significant challenges relating to digitalisation, operational efficiency, sustainability, and the management of increasingly complex supply chains. Given this reality, collaboration between universities and businesses has become a vital tool for developing the talent required by the sector.
Over the course of this decade, the Master’s programme has helped to train new generations of professionals who now work in various areas of the logistics and maritime supply chain, contributing specialist knowledge, adaptability and a comprehensive understanding of the business.
Who is this programme aimed at?
The programme, which is 100% online, is designed for naval and industrial engineers, as well as graduates and professionals working in the maritime, logistics and international trade sectors. It is also aimed at graduates in Business Administration and Management, Law and other related disciplines who wish to pursue a career in a sector where there is a growing demand for specialised professionals.
The programme comprises 1,500 hours of training, equivalent to 60 ECTS credits, divided between theoretical and practical content, in addition to the completion of a Master’s Dissertation and paid work placements with companies in the sector.
Participants gain a broad overview of the maritime and logistics sector, covering areas such as freight forwarding, liner shipping, customs clearance, consignment, port operations, warehousing, and energy resource management, amongst others.
According to José Antonio Pascua, Chief People Officer at BERGÉ: “Reaching the tenth edition of this Master’s programme confirms our ongoing commitment to talent development and collaboration between business and academia.
