• Having received the first one at the beginning of September in the Port of Bilbao.BERGÉ has received the second Liebherr LHM 550 crane at the Port of Tarragona, acquired as part of its current plans to upgrade equipment, after receiving the first one at the beginning of September at the Port of Bilbao.

The crane was delivered at the Aragon dock, and was received on behalf of BERGÉ by the company’s CEO, Pedro García Navarro; Finance Director, Carlos Vital; and its Purchasing Director, Carolina Arellano. Also present on behalf of Liebherr Ibérica were David Cano, Head of Maritime Cranes and Construction Equipment, and Juan Carlos Jiménez, Sales Manager of the same division.

As such, BERGÉ accelerates the process of receiving new cranes in key ports such as Bilbao and Tarragona, which will allow for more efficient operations and make these facilities more competitive. However, the company’s equipment upgrade plan covers all ports where it has operations.

Some noteworthy figures of the LHM 550 model include its reach of 54 metres, maximum load capacity of 144 tonnes (ideal for bulk operations, steel products and project cargo) and 26% less fuel consumption.
It also features mechanical insulation measures to minimise noise and reduce noise pollution in the work area, as well as the LiDAT Smart App Maintenance program, which offers real-time insight on equipment status and performance.
